Reviews for "Proximity"

Classic.

Its always good to play a classic strategy game when you're bored, and this one brought back some fond memories for me

Awesome game

I love games like this. Nothing wrong with it. 10/10 5/5

fell in love when i frist played... But....

Mind numbing Thought is required... But You should make a new, Make with a static Point pool, rather than random numbers you choose how many to use at what time. It would make the game harder and Slightly Less dependant on luck. though a random option like in this one would leave the same feel as the orignal.

Okay, time to dish out the pain.

No, not on the maker of the game. On YOU, the low-bidding bad reviewer who stomps on a game that I like. Yes, that's right. I deliberately didn't bother to review it because there was no need, but now that I happen to see two zeros in a row for no good reason? Oh, you are sooo gonna get it.

Proximity is a very simple strategy game, reminding me of similar games in the past that I've played, and maybe a little of Othello, for those of you who are familiar with it. It simply has you to try and outsmart the computer by way of taking over territory or having the most armies or whatever. (Come to think of it, that's a bit like Risk too.) These settings are adjustable and fun to challenge yourself with. In other words, YOU SET YOUR OWN DIFFICULTY LEVEL. This is perfectly fine, and either you win or the computer wins.

Now that I've gotten the basic mechanics out of the way, I should like to point out that this game is one that I've found to be very addictive and fun. You just have to use your head and think about how you're doing things and how the computer will reaction. For the record, I win most of the time, and IT'S NOT BECAUSE OF LUCK. The program is completely random, COMPLETELY. The computer has as much chance of being confounded by low tiles as you do. If you have a complaint on that, then use them more constructively. And don't gimme that crap where "Oh, it's completely random, so it's just a matter of luck whether I win or not.", because I've been dealt some bad hands in the game and I MAKE MY OWN LUCK.

To you who put the zeros in your reviews, you did not enjoy the game, obviously, but you have no right to complain on such feeble grounds as that. The game isn't bad. It's far too simple to be bad. The fun of showing that computer who's boss outweighs your so-called problems by the same factor as my winning streak: VERY LARGE.

Ta-ta.
