Reviews for "Skullface Makeup"

Good

A simple but efficient design, the part of the nose and eyes is fine, but the mouth has some inaccuracies (mainly in the area of the canines, and molars do not have the right size) I recommend you use a piece of charcoal and you give the shape of the tip of a pencil, is more efficient to detail ways in the skin and if you can take the measure of your face to a more realistic design proportions of your face would be great.

Oh man.. The teeth were a bitch to do. Something that would look acceptable one way, would look completely off if you turned your head to see it in a different angle! D:

The second time around, when I dressed up like this for a halloween party + concert, I actually 'sketched' out where the teeth should be, BEFORE applying all of the white/black face paint. Seemed to help out a lot.

Thanks for the advice!

Awesome!

I've always wanted to figure out how to paint my face that way! Might do it for Halloween.

Sabtastic responds:

I definitely reccommend using -actual- women's makeup, as opposed to the jacked-up prices of crappy halloween mush they try to sell you in the stores. The most of that stuff you'll need is white facepaint, but black lipstick and eyeliner did the trick for everything else!

I used black and white liquid eyeliner to define the teeth, and metalic white eyeshadow to make the highlights of my face look shiny. (although that doesn't really seem to show through in the picture at all)

Thanks for the sweet score!

Great teeth

The teeth are very well done. The area around the eyes and nose is good too, but the mouth is the really impressing part.

Would be interesting to see this with a complete costume. I am aware that you are just testing the make-up, but your hair for example looks to "nice" or "benign" in combination with that skull.

Either way, nice work on that.

Sabtastic responds:

The costume was lazily done, but it's the same zombie outfit that I wore last year, only this time my face looks different. Origionally, I wanted to go with something like a 'day of the dead' / sugar skull dress, with roses in my hair, but I kind of dropped the ball on that one. Didn't have roses -or- a dress. lol
