Reviews for "Douglas Adams Dedication"

Maaan...

dammit, now you got me all depressed <:(

Not the dedication Adams would have wanted

While most of the references in the dedication DO make sense (for those of you that have actually read ALL of his works, it might be a little clearer), the point of a dedication is to... uplift our memory of the person it is dedicated to. If anything, this made me think Adams' life was a bit of a waste - WHICH IT MOST DEFINATELY WAS NOT. Good inspiration, but poorly executed. Would you want random uninspiring hopeless words flow past a grey screen at YOUR funeral? I didn't think so.

Man only good people seem to die

I am in a moment of shock write now. Douglas Adams is dead... at only age 49. "42 is no longer the answer"... Fucking hell, a great writer is dead and strangely that is all one can say... read the hitch hikers guide to the galaxy series then watch this movie... it will mean so much more.

The man was great.

The stuff you made wasn't all that good. That's the thing with tributes. They are hard to make without completely bastardizing the person it's for, or being complete crap.

As for his death, well, Belgium, man, Belgium.

the-animator responds:

agree.

So, where's the Meaning of Life in this shit?

As much as I love Douglas Adams' work myself, this piece was, frankly, a waste of time. Flashing incorrectly-spelled titles of his books on the screen are not enough to jerk a tear from any fan, believe me.

And, for your information, BBC did a "Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy" show back in the early 1980's, and I'll bet you anything that years from now, they'll make a Hitchiker movie with the latest in special effects...as they always do with famous sci-fi authors. H.G. Wells, anyone?
