There may have been a bit too much negative space, but this is still awesome! It's mostly because you anticipate so much. I don't know what's going to show up at the bottom. It's mostly nothing. I like the position of the eyes. They seem to have retreated into his upper chest.
He appears to be cybernetic. That could just be the black color. That was still the appropriate color. The emphasis of the veins is great. It shows what will lead up to the emptiness.

I'm not a fan of the anime thing you were going for (thin, etc) but it is a nice piece of art you have here, I am all for the dark essence stuff and I can tell you this has deserved its frontpage. Nicej ob!
