Reviews for "Hiroshima."

great peice

So many of these types of movies have been made about Pearl Harbor and D-Day and the like, it is refreshing to see one made about this topic however. The POV is unique and the plot is thought provoking without being inflamitory.
While I am not one of these "dont mess with Texas" war fanatics, in retrospect I do think the order to drop little boy and big boy was the right one, god only knows how many U.S. lives they saved. But what was the cost the Japan and the rest of the world? All I can say is good job, well done.
Will we be seeing a "Nagasaki" any time soon?

Very Nice

Their really wasnt a point to dropping that large of a friggin bomb. War and whoever is ruling Japan are 2 completely different sections, The ruler does not declare war, the shogun or whatever, the leader of the army, does. The ruler (thought to be a decendant of the sun goddess) lives life without work, so dropping a huge ass bomb on civilians was near pointless. When the ruler of Japan told the troops to surrender, no1 was actually sure it was him because no1 ever talked to him. Only a few close people who were fighting in the war did.

Wow i talk alot when i think.

PauLH responds:

I am very happy I made you think about it. It feels like an achievement, but anyway, I do not know much about what the emporer sayed at the time. Anyone in their right mind would surrender after Hiroshima, so I believe you are correct. Thanks for watching and thinking.

Nice work

Great stuff. I love how it all flowed. And making it black and white was good to. Im one of the people who happens to think that useing the A-Bombs was cowardly. Oh sure there always the people "If it hadnt happned a lot more would of died" Yes but those would not of been civilians. Isnt intentally attacking civilans a war crime? Something the US loves to scream about as long as its not agianst them anyway.

Oh, sorry. I kind of got on a rant here lol.
Anyway, nice work. Cant wait till your next one

PauLH responds:

Thank you very much for watching, I like how people share their opinions about the matter, it is a very debatable issue. Atomic bomb on Hiroshima may have been an easy way out, but the initial idea was to save american lives and stop the war all together. Anyway, I hope you will like my upcoming work as well! Thanks for watching!!

Awesome

That was really powerful. Great statement and awesome drawing.

PauLH responds:

Thank you very much, I am glad you liked it pal! =)

No offense

Cyrus is kinda right, im not racist or anything against japanese but hes right on the fact that if we hadnt dropped those bombs, millions more could have prolly died in infantry battles. We had to do one thing big in order to scare them enough taht we would do it again if we had to, they had no choice to surrender after the bombing.

PauLH responds:

True, they would have no choice but to surrender after Hiroshima, but they did not.. which is why Nagasaki suffered as well. Back then it was the best solution, but in modern times, (War on Iraq) it would be viewed as terrorism. Thanks for watching.
