Reviews for "The Accidents - Switchblade"

Good song, mediocre mixing.

I'll start off by saying that I really liked this song. It had a really driving beat to it and was well played from what I heard. My biggest beef is that the mixing was really that well done because the horns were kind of blurred in the background. If you brought the horns out it bit more I think it could add some polish to the song as a whole.

The opening also irritated me a bit. The beat was really strange and a bit unnerving. I know people that enjoy that kind of thing but it's just not my cup of tea. I also found it to be a bit long and reptitive at points. I think you could cut a bit of the repetitions out or at least change something about the lines to give it more originality and variety. On the whole though, I thought it was well done and a good listen.

posted a new version..shorter, with lyrics..more in tune..let me know what you think of that one..and thanks for the review!!

Very ska-ish!

I like this. It has trumpets, horns; the whole shebang! The quality was very good and I liked the diversity. Could have used some lyrics but still is good.

ha ha, thanks!

Awsome bari sax

Very nice intrumental, one of the best ska intrumentals i've ever heard. The Bari sax was very impressive. It seems to me that you guys could use some more horn intruments to be even better.

a nice dark active ska track

I am seriously considering using this in my Pico day flash submission. It's fast paced, has a dark overtone that’s hard to find in ska. The horns are epic as hell, and the fact that it is not dominated by lyrics that potentially get in the way of a flash animation makes it an amazing piece for a flash artist to work with. It builds up at the end of the audio for a nice epic climax.

Where's the trumpet?

Nice song, but I like to hear some trumpet in ska.
