great even if final product!
This is terrific stuff, especially if it is just a BETA for the real thing!
Graphics were nice. Good backgrounds and the characters were simple yet fluid. The specials looked pretty cool too.
Sound was awesome. I loved the soundtrack, and the sound F/X were very effective at identifying hit detection.
Controls were fairly easy to get used to, and the variety of attacks and their effects were good (i.e. a flying kick knocks enemies down to give you some breathing room, etc.).
Recommendations:
-Consider multiple levels (as in elevated walkways) to add an extra element
-Make the special a little easier to get charged
-Multiple levels
-Give explanation for quest the character/s are on (the opening just explains what they are, not why they're fighting)
-On the boss, since he has so many hit points, try to display them so you can see your progress on him (I recommend using the bar you have, but use multiple colors/layers that need to be depleted.)

The boss can't hit you when you crouch, so just duck and kick as fast as you can. And don't get discouraged if his health doesn't go down
