I loved the style of the movie but it could have been much more convincing if the music was serious. I didnt feel like it did the movie justice.

I'm not sure if this is what you meant for it to be about, but here's how I saw it. The super hero fighting the monseter was the boys heart. What you're saying is that in the heart of every child is a hero, waiting to fight. The monster is the world. It destroys the childs world. The hero, and the world are consantly fighting. In the end, the childs heart is crushed, and the child ceases to exist, and in effect dies.Am I correct?
