2 YEARS!?

You've been only playing for 2 years!? I haven't ever tried practicing a song for more than 2 weeks, because I'm in a school band, so I have no idea what people can do with about a month of practice on one song, but holy crap your fingerings and tonguing are really smooth... i think I'm jealous.

Very Nice

Very easy to listen to, Nice groove... I like it. I've been playing for eight years and can't play like that... I guess that practice concept works if you really use it.

yes

thank you.....for that litle.....wow, haha, nice
great latin feel, did you write the whole thing? or just play, great playing also

nice!

lol i cant believe those idiots down there. obviously after two years of practice, someone could play like this.

anyways, great stuff. i just wish it was longer :D

Lies..

after 2 years you don't play like that
I would understand if it was done with a pentatonic scale but its not there is more than that and it also sounds like there is two saxs in different tunings like a tenor and alto. there is like a trombone or something near the end and stuff, it would be more believable if there was only the drum beat and 1 instrument.

Super20SS responds:

Well, you're right about there being two saxes, alto and tenor. By the way, I play both, and isn't SO amazing that you can record more than one instrument on DAW software...I've been using Cubase

Oh, and you're right, I've been playing for a little OVER two years. Oh, and the trombone and piccolo (toward the end) were done in Reason, as were all the rhythm instruments.

Like I just wrote to fantomoo, you want proof of the way I play, go check out my other submissions...those are just practice sessions, but I think they will give you the idea. And beyond that, if you still don't believe any of this, I'll give you the phone number or email of my new private teacher--I'm sure he won't mind verifying my credibility.

Next time you decide to rag on someone or vote someone down to make yourself feel better, put some thought into exactly what you're saying...it'll keep you from making some extremely weak points based on pure speculation.

On the other hand, I'll take your comment as a compliment...no, I DON'T just play pentatonics because that bores the crap out of me. I listen to a lot of Brecker, Kenny Garrett, other modern guys like that, and I transcribe all their stuff...it's amazing how much and how fast you'll learn when you do more than just LISTEN to the masters and sit around thinking about how you'll never be able to do it yourself...
