You're doing it wrong
The mother is actually suppose to 'chew' up the food, then feed it to her young.
So far in this artwork everything is great. I love it to be honest since it's 'unnatural'.

Very disturbing. You are right, giant birds would be scary. If I were faced with one, I think I might just sit down and let it happen. Too scary.
I think that, if you wanted to add to this, you could change the puke a bit. I think the mama bird chews the stuff up before feeding it, right? Maybe not... But if so, you could make some nasty mashed up peoples, still showing some signs of humanity (faces, maybe some arms, organs, etc), but the rest of it being unidentifiable, mashed up flesh. Then, maybe you could add some people still alive somehow trying to get the hell out of there, but they can't because they're either glued to the mass of flesh and mama bird saliva or they've already fallen into the baby bird jaws.
Just something to think about. Awesome work!!!

I tried doing it with mushed up people, but it didn't really work, they just looked like chewed up worms, and when I started adding too much detail the whole thing just became too complicated and looked like a mess. if I redraw it though I might try doing some of that stuff.

I must admit at first I was like "hmm" *with the head tilted sideways* then I laughed and said well now those monks in the mountains have a great reason for using their hidden powers and techniques unless they want to really become one with "nature". (Y) Oh and I like how some of the people are doing canon balls hahaha.
