Awsome piece!
This definately has war written all over it. I like where your inspiration has taken you. I'm sure everyone has dreamt up their own story that accompanies this piece, but here's what I received:
In the beginning, the doors to some barracks burst open. In walks a thirty year-old man bearing the double bars of an army captain on his sleeve. The captain walks down the middle to the rear of the building. He grabs a Kriss Super V submachine gun off of a rack, loads a thirty round clip, and checks the safety. After securing it to his combat sling, he then picks up a Berreta 92 FS, pulls back the action, and holsters it. After grabbing a few extra clips and securing his helmet, he exits the barracks.
Outside, a V-22 Osprey sits with its engines running next to a squad of five uniformed men standing around and chatting. Upon seeing the captain, they line up and stand at attention. The captain approaches the squad and casually scans them. They all appear ready for action with weapons clean and equipment intact.
"Load up!" the captain shouts.
The squad enters the rear of the craft quickly and orderly. The captain enters last. One of the pilots stops looking in the troop bay after the captain is in. Both pilots face forward and receive a transmission on their headsets.
"Bravo Three, you are now clear for take-off, over."
"Roger. Bravo Three is now dusting off, over," the other pilot replies.
The Osprey's rear hatch closes, and the craft vertically ascends. After reaching the correct altitude, the engines rotate forward and the craft flies off into the northwest. The men are talking among themselves, talking about miscellaneous things. The captain sits back and pulls out a photograph of a beautiful brunette woman standing next to a couple of young children. It is a photo of his family. He isn't commanding a squad and fighting a war just so he can blow away people with his .45 and cause extreme destruction for fun. He is fighting to protect them: His family. His city. His country.
