A little too inspired by Ninja Scroll

I guess my enjoyment of this Flash was quite crippled by the blatant overlap with Ninja Scroll. I'm fairly certain that your characters and most of their poses are traced stills from the movie.. I mean, thats fine and all, but at least state your inspiration somewhere.

I enjoyed your use of sound effects taken from the Rainbow Six game series. Its a lot better than the "Uuuugh!" voice overs most people do themselves. lol

Anyway, the only reason you're getting anything above a 1 is because, copied or not, you did a great job putting this thing together. Needs a little more in the music department to set the mood. Otherwise, nice work. I hope you eventually develop your own style.

Samurai-a-rific

Great work. I am really diggin' this, (Especially since I got out of K.B. Vol. 2 20 minutes ago) The animation was great, I really liked the eyes of the main Samurai. I know you explained it as unreliability of the actors, but the voices weren't that great. In the end, it's just a minor problem though. Great work, looking forward to the next episode.

Visually stunning, but...

... you need to work on your storytelling abilities. By this, I mean that, while your charactrs are working properly and everything, the flow of this is really shaky; characters pop up of whose affiliation/purpose we are unclear, there are way too many close ups to understand the action half the time, and so forth.

I think, if you work on your storyboarding and pre production more, try getting some establishing shots thrown in there, and smooth out the pacing a little better, this would be much more successful.

*Flails* Oh wow. It's been awhile since I saw anything as good as this. The story actually has a backbone, the graphics are eye catching, and it's just... I'm at a loss for words. ^^ This is really good. Hope to see the other episodes really soon. Might help with the voice acting if needed. XP

Easy 10/10 and 5/5

Its really nice to see people work on serious flash animations. Dont get me wrong, but it seemed like you put alot more effort in animating on your last episode. This one was way longer and that was cool, but i think there were less FBF frames... the fact taht you skimped out on the fights was kinda dissapointing (dude i know it's SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH work, but u did do it on your first one) But guess what, i still gave you perfects. ANd lastly, anime ninja stories are SOOOOOOOO CLICHEd... i dunno. I too owe my drawing roots to anime. Your work is terrific though.

Thanks for the kind words. I wanted to try a different animating approach in the sequel. Part one focused on Taeryu's hand to hand. I wanted ep 2 to focus on acrobatics. I know the story seems cliched now, but trust me. It takes a turn never seen before. Youll see.
