Reviews for "Chrono Trigger: Episode 2"

Very nice!

Hey that was real cool but I felt that it didnt go for long enough but you said you were putting the rest in the next movie.
I didnt really get the story line but I havnt played chrono trigger before but I am looking forward to watching your previous episodes and your next one.

Very nice job!

i didn't think it was that bad

i didn't think it was to bad the last review was sort of harsh and i don't know why he picked you to give this review to most of the chrone trigger fights are just two guys hitting each other with weapons real fast and it looks like something out of dbz this time magas had some odd powers and frog did that sword attack that looked a little differant and honestly i don't care about spelling in newgrounds if the movies good i like it and that old emglish thing...who the hell can grasp the concept of old english without being anal and looking it up

Nothing new or original...

OK, clearly you're capable of putting time and effort into creating a nicely produced and fairly clean Flash animation. Why not take that talent and do something interesting with it? I mean, how many hundreds of Flash movies make use of the exact same Chrono Trigger sprites and music tracks? And I can't even say you're doing something new with the sprites either. The story is the same clichéd tripe we've seen many times before.
Besides that, and I can't stress this point enough: Please proofread your work! Obviously you're going for a serious, dark tone in your movie, but when words are misspelled and punctuation is missing and letters are incorrectly capitalized, it really detracts from the mood you're trying to establish. It's not "takeing", it's taking! And if you don't have a firm grasp of "ye olde English", it's probably best not to even attempt it.
Now, I apologize for singling you out. the truth is many others are guilty of the same mistakes I'm calling you on. But because I see the potential for more in your work, I thought I'd give you a shove in the right direction. Take my advice or don't, it's up to you.

Contrived

It's spelled 'taking', not 'takeing'.

It was pretty decently presented, and the fight scene was cool to watch, but the whole thing is the same Dark antihero/vengaence crazed badass business that Magus keeps getting shoved in, the same place as such characters like Vincient, or Hellsing's Arucard (Which is a stupid, contrived name for a badass vampire). The prattlings about the nature of evil and perception and all that junk are just there to cover up for that lack of real character development.

Interesting, but..

it would have been much more watchable with faster text. And the expand speech box thing was also irritating, so leave that out next time.
