I thought this was rather intriguing although i felt that i was cut off way too soon. What you did well with this was probably that great dark shadowy style you went with, and i did like the sound you had for the background it sounded as if it was from some sort of samurai related event, not that i know much about the topic. I think the style was alright but maybe afew more shots of parts of the samurai instead of just the whole samurai such as maybe the sword or the head gear would make this more symbolic. Overall not a bad little flash, just needed abit of a push in passion.

I myself study japanese history, and the samurai is no exception. I'm glad someone got some stuff right.

Very good flash, it's a shame that it has low votes for being to short or "stolen".

LOL, it's not stolen...I created it...even NG staff went as far as to help me protect my short by putting their comments up...

it was a simple atmospheric movie...it's meant to be short...but I am working on a longer samurai duel currently...it's taking shape pretty good...

A stylish quicky

~The good~

You had very stylish animation, that reminded me of the oh-so many good samurai flashes on newgrounds. The music was very authentic and fit perfectly to the samurai-styled atmosphere. The sound effacts, like the sword slashes, also sounded very cool.

~The bad~

the biggest thing for me is that it was way too short, just like in your other flashes, this one ends before it really startes getting good, I would've loved to see the samurai kill more people, especially with your great animation potential. Also, even though this one had a PLAY button, it didn't have a REPLAY button, and it got annoying going back the manual way, in your next flash, it's highly recomended to have both a PLAY and a REPLAY button.

Overall, a very stylish samurai quicky that I enjoyed, yet I still wish I saw a little more.

That wasn't good at all.

It was way too short and it didn't even make sense. It looks like a good opening to a movie. But why was it so short and had no point at all. The graphics seemed pretty good and I think if it were a real movie, it would be really awesome. I think you could actually make it something good.
