Reviews for "Oriental Metamorphose*PREVIEW*"

Sounds exotic

It makes me feel like I've been drifted to a unknown island with a mysterious culture. :) I can't wait to hear the rest of this piece!

If you ask me...

It sounds very 'meditative', for lack of a better word. Maybe even a little zen, I'de venture.

What does this have to do with Oriental?

I'm an Asian American, so I have a good sense of what Oriental music sounds like. This sounds like the author is attempting to come close, but just miss anyway.

It sounds more like something that comes out of Africa, rather than Asia.

(BTW I'm Chinese so there's my bias)

I originally wanted to find some music I that would remind me of riding on an airliner (I want to be an airline manager one day, otherwise an Air Force officer would do...) or something that would remind me of warfare, since the paper I write next has to do with the Comparison of Military to Business Strategy (As applied to new media publishing, so this is probably already completely over your heads... if you don't know IT, you probably would do yourselves a favor by not asking me for the link to the paper.). Of course, I could always settle for something having to do with kickboxing, but then again I'm not writing any papers about that line of trade...

So I'd just like you to know that
A. This needs work.
B. This doesn't sound Asian to an Asian, so you probably messed up somewhere.
C. This doesn't even qualify to be called "Oriental" something something, so I'd pretty much, if I were you, leave the Oriental part out of the name.
D. This is too short.
E. All of the above.

The correct answer is "E".

Please rework your piece. I have faith that you can do better.

It may be your first try, but don't worry, you're at least better than me. I studied the piano for four years and what has come of it? I can play a four second piece. What dismalness!

So I stick to writing about air travel and boxing.

At least the music helped develop my left brain. It also strengthened my right brain.

But in the end I always have right brain dominance. I'm ADHD, so I pretty much need stimulation right now at 0213 EST (0713 ZULU) while I try to finish my homework. After all, I only go to college because I want to become a military commander. Guess these allnighters will really help when I'm on the battlefields of the future (I plan to become a Special Operations pilot).

I hope when that time comes I don't need to be immersed in Faux Asiatic noise like this...

Sorry if it sounded kind of raw, but I've been up for more than 21 hours by now. That's just the beginning of my tool. I can't really think straight now, just need to keep on keeping on while I try to get my papers done...

ok, i will assume for a second that you are not a troll.......
if you are seriously writing such a long review, why don't you read my description first? it says that this track is NOT finished, and btw the song name includes the word *PREVIEW* which shoud be a good indicator, too.
now for the word "oriental"..........after reading the reviews here i come to the conclusion that americans think or define the word oriental=asian. but since i am european i have another view on this word. this word changed over a long time. "oriental" first came up in ancient greece or rome, it always stood for the most eastern part of the known world. at the time of ancient greece/rome the most eastern parts were these which we call arabic today. as time proceeded and more and more parts of asia were discovered the word "oriental" also moved towards east, until it reached japan. also if you are saying oriental=asian then i have news for you, the arabic countries also are on a landmass which is called ASIA.......so let's just say i'm using the word "oriental" in all the variety i described above.
another point is that, yes, the persecution is arabic, BUT in the middle of this track you will hear a tempura ans a sitar, which are indian (thus also oriental) instruments.
last but not least, you are not the only one who knows IT, i'm studying COMPUTER SCIENCE, but i have no time to read your paper, sry.
peace
