Reviews for "GTIL (Rough)"

Great

Like I have said in your old work, your instruments need to be leveled. The rythme isnt very set on one level. I like the drummers work in this song. Maybe you could have the brass do more than just a few accent notes here and there. Good work though. Also make the brass be louder they seem very......weak [at points they are good].

HyruleanHyroe responds:

Thanks for the suggestions, hesopchoie! It's a good thing we haven't mastered it yet, which is part of why I put the rough one up. We'll take a look at it next time we're at the studio. :)

AWESOME!

Dude, I totally dig this one! This is a great ska song, awesome vocals, music and drums. This is a big improvement over 4 AM, I'm a musician myself, but don't dig into the music I have on here. I'm working on like a ska funk style band so I really love this stuff. Keep it up and I'll keep listening, this gets a 5!

HyruleanHyroe responds:

Well thanks! It's awesome to hear from someone we don't know that we're improving. It seems like a more valid opinion that way. :P

Good luck with your band, and be sure to let me know when you've got something posted online so I can give it a listen!

RE:uuuuuuuuh...

much improved on the sound of the singer.

HyruleanHyroe responds:

Excellent...

(That's a virtual Mr. Burns impression.)

Aweswome!

This is a really cool ska song, one complaint is it sounds a little empty, maybe a keyboard would give it a fuller sound, overall, great track, keep it up!

HyruleanHyroe responds:

I agree. :P

Hmm, nice but...

Your drummer goes off-beat a fair bit and causes some of the other band members to lose their rhythm at points as well.

Sounds kinda like Hot Hot Heat meets Mighty Mighty Bosstones.

HyruleanHyroe responds:

Thanks for the constructive criticism, durn! I honestly can't hear what you're talking about, but I may be rhythmically challenged, which may be a part of the problem. :P

Comparing us to the truly Mighty Mighty Bosstones melts my heart. I am flattered.
