not quite there
This song is pretty damn good, But I think it's too repetitive, I think you really should have gone with the darker version that you originally planned, I think that it could have made this song pretty damn good. It's too happy for my taste, but all in all, great song.
Ah, well, yeah, it is personal preference. Note that I just made this in a matter of hours, so I just threw down what I had. Plus, I think it came out alright this way!

the beat and melody get a little repetative after a while. (first three minutes) I think that you should try to mix it up a little and get some variation. it still is pretty good for such an odd time signature.
