GREAT GAME! Just 1 thing though...
its a great game! great controls and graphics. but some levels, like the poison level, are impossible to beat. id like to know the passwords to other levels so that id have sumthin to do all day than get beaten again and again....
Thanks, but the difficulty was intended to challenge everyone (after all they're only secrets), but some of these levels are actually easier than you might think. You can get help on strategies and hints on the etherena forum: http://etherena.conforums.com/

I didn't read the previous reviews so I'll probably be repeating stuff, which is kind of annoying when the author is careful enough to answer to almost everyone, as I noticed you did. Anyway, the game idea is just great. The screens ARE too big, poor 800x600 users wouldn't be able to play this correctly! The gameplay is a bit hard (the keys and all). The battles can be quite funny and enjoyable, specially in 2 players mode. The game can use some improvement, but it is still a great game, worth playing in free times... I didn't like the sound, but I'm always annoying and demanding about the sound (I gave like four 10 in sound ever since I began reviewing). And... that's it :-)
Yes, the screen's big, but I wanted a large arena, but I didn't want scrolling on a 2 player game.. oh the things we have to sacrifice.. (I'm planning to make the next game in a smaller window btw) And the controls are hard for many people, but I couldn't come up with easier, workable controls for all six attacks for a 2 player game; I've been coming up with new ways to execute moves, but they get a lot messier than it already is. sigh... I'm not much of a sound artist, so that department is quite a big hole, but if the sound's annoying, you have the option to turn it off. ;)

I tried to make the first couple of levels easier so it wouldn't be completely frustrating. The levels were meant to keep you busy until I come up with the sequel. ;) In fact, I'll probably be posting the passwords eventually. If there are specific levels giving you trouble, visit the forum http://etherena.conforums.com and request for strategies and advice..
