Effing Intense!

The orchestral part of this piece was masterfully done. Everything about it was flawless. But what sohuld I expect from the Maestro? Epic is your forte eh? =)

1:38 = Beautiful. I honestly have no idea what instrument that is... or even if it's a voice? Whatever it is it is totally haunting and it made my heart tremble.

I think that the guitar could have been better - it didn't give me any emotion. It was just there and almost annoying at times because it was so emotionless.

It wasn't a big deal though. I wouldn't add or take away anything in this song except those guitars.

Back to that awesome instrument that I don't know the name of - when it comes in on the B note and then goes up to a C... I wanted it so badly to then go back down to B and then A and continue on in a beautiful melody. Quite honestly I felt you cheated me >:(

Anyways, it was still beautiful - and I'd really like to know what that instrument was and your reasons (if any) for not progressing melodically with it. Was it because it seemed to obvious and what most people would do? (Because that idea is quite generic... but it would have sounded beautiful right there) Or did it not cross your mind at all... or is there another reason?

Good luck, and great job,

Hey MusicalSerenity! It has been a while good sir, i'm glad to see you have returned :D! Looking forward to those recordings in your SuperMusic account btw, do keep me in the loop as those go up.

At 1:38 you are hearing the Duduk flute. It is a Turkish instrument invented a good deal back. Like, even before yo daddy was around!

The guitars seem to be this song's controversial point. Many people wanted them louder, some people, such as yourself, found them a nuisance, and a select few went "there were guitars D:?!"

so I guess with guitars, you go big or you go home.

To answer your question, the chord progression as you mention was a tad predictable, and would have required me to break out of the chord. Though changing the chord would have been very easy, I didn't want to plant a seed of predictability in there. I often find myself doing overused things if I start with an overused concept.

But I do agree with you, would have been pretty eh?

Thanks for the review, i'm glad you liked it! Welcome back!
