No cool154, there is no glitch, you're just stupid. Your blood alcohol level or pukometer or whatever it is, it has to be above a certain level before you CAN use the bread, presumably because it subtracts a certain amount and if you're not at that amount or higher, it won't let you use it. Kind of like if doom didn't let you grab the 25% med kits unless your health was 75% or less, though Doom lets you get it when you're at anything under 100% and waste whatever excess there is.
I like the picture at the end, of them all puking. That picture, if nothing else is, is definitely worth a thousand words.
This is actually a demented version of the knapsack problem. The way I ended up winning it was to drink against Picard first, use the bread, drink against Worf, use the warp coolant, and then go against the other 3 consecutively. You know it's going to be close no matter what you do. It wouldn't be an interesting game if it wasn't. The two things you don't want to do are 1: drink too fast, or else you may end up taking two drinks while your opponent only takes 1, and 2: accidentally hit the button to drink again after they start puking. You need to put to work every sip you take. You have enough leeway following the sequence I gave you to mess up ONCE. Though you can probably mess up twice if it's with the Romulan Ale.
