I remembered myself pretending to "play" this animation like it's a game back then to impress my younger siblings,and they would go like, "broo,that;s a sick move you got there,how did you even play it like that?"🤣🤣 great times:)

The thing a lot of stick fights that quite animators tend to forget when they try to emulate XiaoXiao; is that to really sell the scale and feat of this 1 vs. 100 style the main character needs to take some good hits. Properly knock your MC on their ass and scuff them up a bit. It's like comparing the original Oldboy Hallway fight, to the US remake of it. Totally misses the point of what made the original great, so there's no real impact on the viewer when Thanos gets stabbed at the end out of nowhere.
TL;DR.
More MCs need to take damage like in this to make it a more impressive fight.
