that was pretty cool the animation was alittle off but actually pretty good and the plot loooked like it was goning to be great but I did niot quite understand what was going on

Ver sci-fi which is cool cause i have a vortex series and its sci-fi so this was a nice touch we need more sci-fi stuff like this on newgrounds, good storyline aswell, it moved along and kept me interested, nice work once again...

First of a Sci-Fi series with good potential
Your comments on the movie are strange. I'm not sure if this is your own story or if you're borrowing from something else but it is interesting. Needless to say, I did enjoy this short.
Graphics - 6
The depiction of the blast on Ivinus was very well done. The core elements of this movie's graphics are in their place. Unfortunately there were some quirky scenes where a group of the fighter ships gets into formation in reverse. Another one is when the mothership is attacked and it stops shortly after being destroyed defying zero gravity. Some things were silly such as the commander of the mothership and the attack effects on the mothership.
Style - 6
I enjoy science fiction personally and was captured by the plot as bare bones as it is. I hope a lot is explained if this series is continued. Even in the future and between possibly more advanced beings than humans there will be war. This concept does lack originality but I feel that it is well portrayed in your animation.
Sound - 8
I did like your use of little sound, the ambience is encompassing. I like the subtle details in the ships' propulsion. The approach of leaving everything unsaid works although it doesn't help to make the story blossom. Heck, make up alien languages of gibberish and subtitle them. Keeping things sparse strengthened this movie.
Violence - 8
The blast at the city was startling, the reasons are unknown but retaliation was inevitable. The destruction of the red enemy mothership leaving the supposed crew and commander destroyed was convincing. The deaths are painless but instant and shows life as just dots behind a bigger machine. The commander of the mothership knew that he was going to die but those in the city on the attacked planet probably didn't.
Interactivity - 4
You fail to include a play button, a replay button, and other functions. Captions or even brief titles explaining more about the situations would of been a good addition.
Humor - 5
What amused me were the problems I mentioned earlier in the area of graphics. The character design for the mothership commander was rediculous and the lone figure on Ivinus even looks absurd artistic licence or not.
Overall - 6
Your movie is good, and you have a great deal of talent. It is obvious that you put effort into this movie. I do have some general questions to leave in the air. Where does the horde of ships dissapear to after attack on the mothership? Was the entire fleet destroyed?
The need for elaboration is present so I'm hoping you continue your new series. You've earned yourself a future viewer.
