Reviews for "Megaman X: Legacy"

WOW!! very good...

one of the best sprite animations i have seen!!
i dnt think there is really improvements that should be other than the screen size, but maybe thats the only way a clear picture could be generated, anywayz, lookin forward 2 seein your next submissions!! l8er

Zephret responds:

hello! Thanks very much for the support. Yes, the size of the movie had to be that small, otherwise all the sprites look naff. Sorry about that.

wicked cool!

Nice sprite flash! There is precious little that needs any improvement...but since you did ask for reviews, I'll break it down as best I can ^-^ :

Graphics: An excellent job. It was a little slow at the begining, and with the simple "slide show" type animation you inititally used, I was initially misled about the nature/quality of the flash. This of course changed VERY quickly once the actual "mission" began. Loved the flow speed and its consistantcy with the respective moods you were trying to set (i.e. very slow text during the emotional parts vs. fairly fast movements in battle sequences). The sprites were very well done, and the scene where Mega Man's armor is slowly attached as different thoughts appear across the screne was terrific.
Why not a ten, you ask? The begining and the slow speed of the "armor donning" (sorry had to find something :) )

Sound: Excellent choices for the music. The only example I can think of that this isn't so is in the use of the "mourning" melody from the movie "Braveheart". The first time it was used it was perfect, but you should have left it at that. In subsequent uses it felt a little over the top (when the armor is going on, I'd recommend using some kind of rising tempo music to build to the climax of Mega blasting the bejesus out of the slime ball villian :) ). Sound FX wise it was great!

Premise: I'm fascinated as to where you'll go from here story wise. The first episode is normally designed to be a "teaser" that hooks the audience into watching subsequent episodes (you have succeeded!).

Improvements: Hmmmm...I'll have to dig deep on this one...
Ok first off if you could find a way to do the opening with actual sprites it would set the mood of the story much, much faster. Also, I think the female lead died WAY WAY to early into the flash (hopefully she'll be reintroduced under the pretense of surviving the attack or in a flashback (my opinion alone)). Definitely switch off your music to match the mood of each individual scene (you're REALLY close to achieving this!). Make the aforementioned "Mega Man Armor" scene faster (or start slow and accelerate rapidly). I think that's all I can think of.

Overall a magnificent job. I'm really looking forward to the sequel. And while I couldn't bring myself to give you a perfect 10 review-wise, rest assured...

All my 5's are belong to this ^-^

Zephret responds:

My f**cking god. *cough* Excuse me? Do they have an award for best review ever?
Seriously dude... Wow. Thankyou SO much!!!
OK, OK, OK... I promise to do everything mentioned :)
I agree wit hthe "armour donning" (lmao) ... will speed that up.
I agree with the Mia thing, and that's why the next part of the trilogy is a prelude to this one, so rest assured she'll be back, hence after people watch it they will understand (and quite possibly) empathise with the situation if they know the character more. ^_^
I was terribly worried about what you said... The intro need's to be sprite based, because the imae quiality looks poor and I'm definate some people opened teh file or 10 seconds, closed it and voted 0 without realising it wasn'twhat it looked like.
Erm... again, thankyou VERY much for that comment... Totally made making this movie worth it :)

Those carzy hobbits!!

I really liked this flash Zep but for some really weird reason (I don't know why) some of the music reminded me of Lord of the Rings.

Keep up the good work and make another one soon!

Zephret responds:

You. Are. Scarily. Familiar.

Who are you? LOL.
Anyway, thanks for the review... Erm, I can see what you mean when you say that, but it's actually from Braveheart, not LOTR :)

cool but there's one thing.....

dang this was cool! i like the ending blast that X does. but there's one thing on my mind...and i may be stupid, she may be from another megaman universe or something.....i dunno....

WHO THE HECK IS MIA??

please respond.

Zephret responds:

Errrm as explaind, its a made-up universe, so she is as well.

It`s good but it needs much work but it`s ok.

I liked the music very much, however it was pretty silly in the start but became good later, and i think i know a small plot about the figure Mia\Roll\Ciel\Iris,at least about the pictures of Iris an MMX because Iris are from x4 and are in 32-bit right? And the other picture of x was also a 32-bit picture so they are from the same game.Right?RIGHT!!?If iam wrong i will never watch that f****ng piece of shit again!
