Fighters carried bombs
For the people that keep saying spitfires didnt carry bombs u need to look into some history. for one most fighters in WW2 carried atleast 2 bombs or a drop tank or a combo of both. The P-51 sometimes carried two drop tanks under their wings for escorting bombers to the target.
