Reviews for "The Cloak - Episode 1"

Great work

Sounds were nice and fluent. Animation was funny but thtas probably what u were going for. Humor is top notch. And that transition music was SHHAWEET. lol. it reminded me of a little series on tv. So good job andkeep making them. they seem rather easy to make. so keep goin

Wicked

That was one of the funniest flash flix I've seen. Thanks

Great

The graphical style can be used as a kinda trademark i think no one else that i can immediatly think of uses anything like it and the sound was perfect quality as humour is concerned it was great throughout a top movie
Also the overall speed and fluidity of it is top notch
cant think of ne real critisms apart from the credits maybe which just repeat forever but no matter the music is funny

Funny and original

This movie kicks ass when your high.

potential...

this series has potential, i'd like to see the next one have a little more of an engaging storyline, and a better sense of humor, otherwise, good work

SecretAgentBob responds:

The Cloak is really like a 5-part animation, even though each episode more or less was made to stands on it's own. Episode 2 goes more into the mystery of base 0-16, although to be honest the point of the cloak was never so much to have a coherent storyline, but more to be an exercise in surreal off-beat political satire.

Most of the humor comes from two levels - the first level is the absurdity of the situations, as well as the insanity and bluntness of the characters. It’s the slapstick-like, sarcastic and ridiculous actions, events and dialogue. The second level is the political satire. I based the entire series on 1950s anti-communist propaganda, as well as many conspiracy theories and “futuristic” ideas of the time. Thus, we have little green men on mars, and a “Cloak” trying to destroy the evils of communism before it seeps into the minds of the innocent capitalists.

Of course, it’s also just a goofy project of mine that allows me to yell in funny voices.

Thanks for the review, I hope you enjoy the future episodes as well!
