Why is this free?

People get paid for stuff like this.

Every single instrument fits, even though there are lot of them, and they usually don't go together well at all. Even the volume levels are perfect. Most people make the guitar way too loud (or cymbals, which is an ear sore on headphones). Although this is a loop, it doesn't feel repetitive, because it is developing throughout, which is perfect for a video game.

I listened to this many times, and I could not find any imperfections, except perhaps the short length. This song is professional quality.

I did indeed spent a while mastering this, but I wouldn't go as far as saying it's perfectly done. I still hear some little things here and there I would've liked to fix, but sometimes I just gotta be happy with what's there! :)

And yes, I've thought about the length for a long time as well but I kind of ran out of inspiration at the time, and I figured the shorter the filesize the better for people who want to keep the quality somewhat still there. :) But normally I'd agree with someone who said around 3 minutes would've been perfect. I'll try going for that length next time. :)

had sort of a nightwish meets atari vibe to it. very well made. I can really see (hear?) this song adding to the atmosphere of a crazy-fast paced game.. a bit short and didnt loop too well at the end but other then that great stuff !

Also, the short nature of the song was deliberate (filesize etc), and the loop seems fine here. :O I mean sure it's not perfect but I wouldn't say it failed or didn't do it's job. :p But hey, I'll try better next time!

I really have no disire to be hired by square or something. Don't get me wrong I'd totally do it and love it (or collapse under the pressure and fail), but this is just a hobby that I want to share with you guys. :)
