Reviews for "Reasoner- Where Do We Turn"

10 for the recording quality especially...

Phenomenal recording quality! What are using to mic this thing? It sounds really full and oozing with character. Sounds like some slight compression on there as well. Very nice. Quite enjoyable. Wish I could get my Kawai upright to sound like this. I guess I should post some of my piano songs. They don't sound quite as good (I had some crappy sm58 ripoff mics...) though. I suppose I could eq em to death though!

5/5

Reasoner responds:

I would love to lie right now and say that I used AKG C414's on the front with ribbon mics underneath in a studio hall hooked up to some killer preamps. But I'm afraid it's a multisampled piano patch from the Reason Refill Pack. I know.....I feel ashamed...lol. I couldn't fit a baby grand in my apartment ;-). Thanks for the review though.....your stuff is awesome as well.

Very nice mate :))

You've got some seriously good piano skillz man, I can't at all improvise with 2 hands so that's a big "wow" from my side..I can hear that it was a one take though cus it got a biit repetive but it's okay when it's live and impulsive..It's not perfect though so I won't give you 10 :P..But very nice indeed ;)..

Keep rockin' dah piano!

Reasoner responds:

Thanks for the review. It does get repetitive, but I posted it here anyways just because it was something that I don't get to do too often when I feel inspired. Thanks for listening.

amazing

I love it. i wish I could play the piano like you. Did you get lessons? I just started using a midi keyboard to make music now that im done with FL studio for a while and moved onto Reason 4. I really wish I could play like that.

Reasoner responds:

I took lessons through high school. Most of my piano was learned through just messin around a lot too.

I like it.

It's a beautiful piece. Very nice performance. I can't help but feel this was largely improvised, which in my opinion would make this even more impressive.

Reasoner responds:

It was written, performed, and recorded in 4 minutes and 35 seconds. Probably won't be able to do that again for another 2 years though lol.

It was cool.

Not your best work, but for a live piano, and a one-shot recordingm it was pretty damn good. The rythym got just a little bit boring, however. I know what you mean by feeling inspired- I get like that myself sometimes when I'm playing, so I know how you feel. Overall, decent job.

Reasoner responds:

Thanks for the critique bro.
