Hey Buddy
I thought I owe you a more comprehensive review.
Firstly, you do admit that you use loops below and I applaud you for giving credit. But in regard to reviewers before you, they say "nice playing", one said "incorporate these chord changes" (or something like that) and your response is "thanks, I'll take that in mind". You should admit that because these are loops, so therefore you cannot change the actual composition of the riffs. Therefore people would be able to make a more informed decision.
Now just because I have not submitted music here what makes you think I haven't uploaded elsewhere? You say in your thread that I would not what it feel likes to get bashed, but you are wrong. Trust me, I have more than received my beatings in the past for my horrid musical skills. You're lucky that you're receiving the negative criticism on a website before the real world.
Now for the loop....dude, I certainly like it a lot. I could listen to this all day.
Your selection of loops is fantastic. It sequenced pretty well actually, while a lot of these tracks composed of loops lack coherence, transitioning, or flow. So I was wrong in saying this type of music takes zero talent to create. Awesome wah wah FX touches, and the two rhodes notes sounded great over the top, I really like the two cripsy acoustic guitar riffs layered in here, love the fusion chord progressions with the funky rhythm. Catchy drum beats with nice variations and added hand percussion for good measure with realistic dynamics. The palm muted riff was another keeper. Everything gels real nicely so I'll give you some credit for that.
I'm on my friend's laptop so I can't legimately comment on the bass levels. But throw a funky slapped bassline in there if you haven't.
You say that you're track doesn't loop well - the reversed crash cymbal works great as transition and there's no silence making the loop almost seamless (if it wasn't for the natural 0.5 seconds added on to mp3 files). Usually, those transition methods are applied in longer tracks, were you've had a longer composition and more has been brought out, so it's acceptable to go back into the beginning. If you want to make it loop for a flash game, you should cut out the intro and start it at 00:10, then people wouldn't notice that the song ends.
Lastly, I'd really hope that you atleast download FL or record your own instruments - you won't regret it. I noticed you started a thread in the forum where you say that you want to start a rock band, can you really provide live recorded drums or at the least programmed ones (not loops)? If you do want to continue using premade loops, I can give you a bunch of ways to moreso personalize them and be creative with it. I would list them here but I gotta run.
So the finishing product here is indeed a good one, despite what methods you have used to create this. Good luck with the full version.
Now it's going to be hilarious when someone asks you for guitar tabs ;)
