In a quest to defeat boredom and see how much I can procrastinate the real responsibilities I face in day-to-day life, I find myself at the very origin of Newgrounds gaming. I have to say, it's pretty incredible to be visiting Newgrounds and playing quite literally with zero issues despite the rest of the flash-based internet still attempting to recover from it's untimely death almost 2 years ago (has it really been that long?). Except Artix Entertainment. They handled it really well to and boy am I glad they did.
Onto the meat of this ramble, the game. AEvil is a short albeit engaging little parlor shooter. The game consists of 3 levels and a bonus level, each with the goal of causing as much carnage as you can while killing as many zombies as you can. The zombies can be shot in their head, body, or any of their limbs. In true early flash fashion, the gunshot sound is abrasive and zombies are dismantleable by body part with zero regard for animation. I love every bit of it.
With content and time in mind, this would have gotten a 4-4.5 had it been a little longer. For what it is, I enjoyed it and it managed to grasp my attention more than many modern AAA games do.
For what its worth, I scored 343 carnage on the bonus level. React with a sleepy face if you can beat it chumps.
