If this is the first endevour your group has had at flash animation, I'll eat my right shoe!
But even if it wasn't I'd still be in awe of this work. Very rarely will you see work of this caliber equally mixed with an intriguing plotline. It is truely a "once in a blue moon" event that sets a prescedent for others of its kind. The "Xombie" series has done it for survival-horror adventure, and Fantastic Realm is perched on the edge of becomming the same for fantasy-adventure (I say "perched" because you'll need to do it twice before I distribute out that acolade :) ).
Ok the brown nosing aside lets get into the meat and potatoes of things:
The graphics were fairly impressive. The backgrounds were gorgeous (I loved your little intro sequence) ::teary eyes:: and the characters themselves were detailed, but broken up into separate moving plates of animation that flowed together (rather well) as opposed to the traditional animation style of using one single drawing in different poses (I know that's some form of digital animation technique. Interestingly enough, I believe the aformentioned "Xombie" uses the same form. But hey I love em' both!).
The sound is BEAUTIFUL. I don't know where you got those soundtracks, but I hope to hear more in the following chapters.
However, the one glaring problem with this flash was the voices of the characters. While boasting a natural flowing dialogue, the volume on them was often far to low to catch much of anything they said (especially at the beggining). Its a small point and normally I might let it slide but when so many things are good the few mistakes stick out like sore thumbs. Such is the price of success :)
Finally the plot. I'm not yet sure where you're going with it, but you have succeeded in peaking my interest enough that I'm eagerly anticipating the next installment.
Wonderful, wonderful flash. Please take comfort in the fact that emmence amount of work you have put into this project has paid off in spades as far as this reviewer is concerned. Kudos Realmguys, Kudos!
