Reviews for "Unattainable Freedom"

This is probably...

my favorite of your songs aside from Ambeint Evenig. I love that second chord thing after the song starts speeding up. The bass fits in pretty well, not to loud or quiet. But seriously, Mr.Blaze, where does your inspiration come from? Do you just say," Hey, I think I'm going to go and write a song right now,"?

also do you have any sheet music for this? well if you do, please send me some.

Your fan, Magnificat12

BlazingDragon responds:

My inspiration comes from a variety of things. Tonight even, I found myself in awe at the the weather. I stepped outside and witnessed the most incredible sunset ever. The storm clouds were rolling in over the golden sky, and the light reflected off a pond not far away. It looked like liquefied gold. Stuff like that really inspires me. :)

Thanks for the review!

Good, Good.

It's good, but nothing spectacular, nice and calming, I quite like it, it has a nice soothing quality although perhaps a bit more background might have been nicer.

BlazingDragon responds:

I think the bass overwhelmed the piano piano and some of its subtleties. :( I need to work on that. :P

Thanks for the review!

OMG

You are a god with music composition, sir. There aren't enough words to describe the inspiration I find from your music. I'm a screenplay writer, you see. I lose my touch now and then, but music like this gives me the vision I need to keep writing. Thanks a bunch.

BlazingDragon responds:

Haha, I can't say that I've ever gotten that one before. :P Thank you for the encouraging comment, however. I am very flattered and glad to know that you have been inspired by my music.

There is some other awesome music by other artists on the audio portal. This music pretty much pails in comparison to that of Winterwind-NS, lol. Thank you again for the review, though. :)

Very Tainted...GOOD!

First off, by tainted I mean like rusted but full of potential in a good way.

Though you've done an amazing job with this piece and you shouldn't stop. The piano line is really good. C-Minor is my favourite key by the way XD. But with the piano line to give it some finesse, I'd recommend some chords to help the melody. If you don't know what I'm talking about, check out a couple of my songs (I recommend Home (Keys of a Piano)). I'm not trying to advertise myself but I don't know how to get my point across any other way.

Now, when I said before rusted with potential, I meant this song should be a lot more passionate. I was expecting a much bigger climax. Again, chords are your friend. I do like the bass line, but in a classical song you should leave that to the piano.

But an amazing piece. Give me more when you upload!

BlazingDragon responds:

Yes, C-Minor is a good key to be in. :P

I think I see what you are saying as far as chords go, but I almost intentionally left the progression simple. I pretty much only used three chords through the song, and used stylistic changes for variety. If I were to extend it, I would definitely add a contrasting section with more emphasis on different chords and I would build up to a greater climax. With as short as this is, though, I decided to make it almost anticlimactic in the end.

I wasn't sure whether this belonged in the classical genre because of the bass guitar. I specifically wanted the bass to handle it and not the piano, but I guess that may be unfit for the genre.

Thank you for the honest review! It was very informative versus the usual, "great job dude, lol, this was the pwnage!" :P I suppose its not technically classical, but I really don't want to put it in misc. If I ever decide to extend it, I will make sure to give it more emphasis on chordal changes and will make a big, dramatic climax. Thanks again! :D

Well...Here I am again xD

I wish I could advise you like the guy in the previous review, but unfortunately I don't know ANYTHING about music creation, timing, bass etc >.<

All I can do is telling you if I enjoyed it or not =p (and I actually did \o/)

You said that you have problems naming songs...well...let me think what name I would give to it xD.......hmm.....let me listen to it a couple more times...

Well...in the beginning, the first thing that came up to my mind was a girl in perspective with closed eyes "looking" down with a tear coming out from her right eye.

When the song gets a little bit faster i see the "camera" going up, showing that she is in a cell...hmmmm

Through the cell's window with bars, I see birds in the vast and far away sky...

They are flying in the direction of the window..

The girl then puts her arm through the windows...trying to reach the birds..looking for freedom maybe?

When the song gets slower again I imagine the birds going away....She looks down as her arm slowly goes down...

Then a brief view of the dark blue sky with some stars (I guess I'm imagining a noon?...maybe?) is shown...

Well...that's what came to me when I listened to it lol..still I couldn't name it...sorry xD

I hope this review was...costructive =p

BlazingDragon responds:

Wow, that is completely awesome! I love that idea, and you, my friend, have a keen imagination! I wish I could use flash and animate that. I can imagine it clearly.

I actually appreciate the fact that you don't know much about music creation. It allows me to see from an outsider/non-musician's perspective. Your review expresses something very important concerning the music, and that is the emotional appeal. I find this kind of review almost more enjoyable to read, anyway.

I have been inspired by your review. I think I will rename this song. Thank you for the great reviews, my friend!
