Great

I really like this drawing.
good job!

nice

did you do this all my hand? like, how did you go about making this? like charcoal or did you color it on the computer and do the sketch on paper. Tell me how you did this :D

Sunshaft responds:

It is by hand, but when I scanned it, collors, and levels were wrong, so I adjusted in in pc.

great job on this, love the gritty feeling.

but here's my thought process on this. this A.I. has become sentient and with its new found thinking it goes over its programming to protect human life yet because it's country sent it out to war to kill humans. it is now in an emotional state and thinking how it has been a tool used against its own programming.

completely unrelated to my previous thought process, it looks like you were influenced by the geth and husk from mass effect in this picture.
correct me if im wrong.
(for those who have not played mass effect here are the refrence pics i was thinking about)
geth http://images.wikia.com/masseffect/images/b/b2/New_Geth_Races_Page_Image.png
Husk http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100623072145/masseffect/images/thumb/8/8a/Husk.png/337px-Husk.png
*note these are to make a point not to promote another thing*

Sunshaft responds:

Looks like you described it pretty well, but every opinion has some truth in itself.

I was influenced by animated film Nine, then geth, and nanosuit from crysis. but not by husk at all, anyway, it can by great idea to draw something like husk in space or something.

My thoughts.

You could say that it is a 'look back' at the statue "The Thinker". The statue that depicts Mans thought, his logic and his ingenuity. However this machine, obviously a construct from Mankinds success, now sees what Mans struggle has lead to, and instead of thinking about a future, to which there is none, the machine can only look back and clasp its face in shame. Perhaps asking itself "If man could create anything with his imagination, why did he create death? Why did he create me?"

Very nice

Very much appreciate the colored pencil work. And the blue looks amazing, it looks computer edited, beautiful atmosphere, it really reflects the dark theme.
