Reviews for "Town Theme Loop"

Guitar Pro 5

Man, I could recognise that acoustic guitar from anywhere. Pretty simple progressive song. Somewhat enjoyable, I suggest setting the RSE master effect to some form of reverb. As well as using strum direction on the rhythm guitar.

sarias responds:

no its not guitar pro 5 its just finale's midi guitar, and its supposed to sound like that its supposed to sound like a game on nes or gameboy and its supposed to be simple its a town them and town themes are simple, plus i was using the restrictions set by nintendo for music in the 80's you could only use a few simple instruments, and a limited amounts of notes at a time

Very Good

This was very nice. It sounded very fitting of a video game "town theme". It had that laid-back, lazy sound.
The guitar did make me think of Kakariko Village, but that's only because I'm a bit on the nerdy side. It really doesn't sound like any Zelda theme that I've heard.
This song has a nice, interesting sound, and it has that slight repetitive feel that a lot of video game songs have. It sounds good and fits into the background well without being at all annoying.
Just listening to the vibe this gives me, I think it would sound good in a Harvest Moon game, or something of the like. :P
Overall, it was an awesome little loop. I listened to it about 10 times while writing this review, and it didn't feel like it at all. That's really the essence of a good video game loop to me. :)
Great work!

Simple, effective, quaint. This reminds me more of the sort of tunes that you expect to find in LoZ games or Simon the Sorcerer, from the country houses. Excellent, as there aren't enough of them in the world :)

I think you can take this further by developing other themes that go with this sort of settings, such as the market theme, boss theme and castle etc. This could certainly lead to you taking it further when someone comes after a few for a game or movie project.

sarias responds:

i cant figure out if you like it out not because you make it sound like you hate it terrible because im no the first person to make a town theme, im not sure if you like it out not tell me that. i wasn't the first person to make a town theme, but nither was pokemon, or neither was zelda, and they didn't get sarcasm thrown at them

Is it just me, but i can't hear anything 0:01-0:14....
This is great, kinda like an "end credits" theme.

sarias responds:

its supposed to be like that and what do you mean an end credits theme it sounds nothing like that

A great video game tune! This could either be used as a background song in a town or for a very cheesy cut scene. ^^

But I think this is more fitting as "town music", because it loops perfectly. But maybe it could be a little bit longer, because now it could get annoying very quickly.

sarias responds:

if you have never noticed, in classic nes and snes rpgs, the length of the song was very short due to restraints, i wrote this to be like a classic rpg track and thus made it short and sweet but im glad you liked it
