Reviews for "Ghetto Romeo and Juliet"

Just couldn't get into it...

I just didn't dig this one, and couldn't make it all the way through, turned it off. The story/plot just doesn't gel. My expectations were set pretty high by the opening, but it seemed to completely abandond the Romeo/Juliet theme pretty quickly into it, and just turns into a cussing black vs. whitey shootout. Perhaps had I more patience it would've tied in at the end, but I just didn't see it going anywhere.

My other major criticism is it moved too slow. The dialogue was overdone and overly redundant, and several scenes just drug out for way too long.

But it wasn't all for not. On the other hand, the animation was for the most part well done and very fluid. It looked pretty high-quality in my opinion, and really I would've liked to have seen more animated movement. But this is the piece's best strength, well done.

Many will have vastly different opinions on this, but all should agree you have skill as an animator that you should continue to pursue...Just need to work on the storytelling.

Reason the lipsyncing and such is so shitty, is because I had 1 week to work on it, untill it was due.

Stoned-Gorilla responds:

You get pissed at me for stereotyping black people being violent, and being the only ones in the movie that can aim a gun well. And then you, who sounds like a black person (you are complaining about white people), and threaten me with your brute force. Who's the one here thats actually making the stereotype?

it sucked

Stoned-Gorilla responds:
