Tutorials on how to use actionscript are pointless if they don't explain (or the user can't figure out) what actionscript MEANS.

Did I ever say this was a tutorial on how to use actionscript... umm no. It teaches how to use "instance" a bit and that you need two movieclips in order to interact with each other among other things.

The music and the animation is horrible, terrible. But the tutorial is good.

A lot of the movement scripts are nearly identical to yours. Also check the other pages of this thread for some oddly familiar scripts.

First of all, I've never gone to that topic.
Second, movement scripts will look similar... they are after all doing the exact same thing... moving.
Third, I went to Actionscript Codes Here! in the Flash Topic to learn basic actionscript so you could probably find a code resembling mine easier there.
And Finally, no I cannot write actionscript in expert mode, I need to copy some other actionscript and edit it in order to understand it. I'm still basically a beginner.
