A significant improvement.
I was able to beat this in this format, although missing stars and coins. The original one only led me to level 2, where I got game over.
It still could use some left-right control improvement.

Fun but flawed.
This is a solid concept, and you seem to have a knack for programming and graphics; I know I didn't see any bugs. The level design is also well balanced, with a constant but gradual increase in difficulty. However, the control is unintuitive- not being able to move left or right unless you're holding down the spacebar is rather annoying and makes some areas that should be simple harder than they really are. Being able to move left/right whether flying up, down, or walking on the ground would make the game easier, more fun, and open up more possibilities for level design. Speaking of which, the game could use more levels; judging from the size of this game, you could easily fit in two dozen levels and still make it under 1000k.
What's here though is excellent. Some sort of sequel or expansion would be, quite literally, the bee's knees.
Has potential
But it's bloody impossible! Visuals are below average but playable, Sounds are either really soft or really loud and the Gameplay is bareable. I'd like to see what more you could do with the engine.

A masterpiece of design is something we all thrive for in these kinds of games, and I believe you have accomplished that and even more, And I am pretty proud to review this one of yours so hope you keep up the good work it was an amazing game you have created. Ha that was great, probably one of the most smooth and sharp looking games i played here at newgrounds, it ran fast with not much glich's, it gets harder with each level, overall was a very fun game, add some music options though.
