Thanks man, it's what I do best. You always have to keep things in perspective. And for me that means that I have to accept that I only have another year with her before college and she's not interested, so I just need to move on and focus on music.

This is one of the most beautiful pieces I have heard on Newgrounds. Seriously, usually I dont bother to leave comments but this warrents one ten times over, but dont worry i wont spam this song page.
The flow and rythm was absolutely ingenious. And the way you melded the melody in there was great. To be honest, I rarely find music like this appealing due to its slow rythm, but the melody just pulled me in.
As for the story, I can totally relate. and the imagery created by this piece definitly reflects the message that you are trying to convey.
Now that I've made my little oration, I'll rate your piece from start to finish...
Flow/Rythm: 10.5
Melody: o><o (bad imitation of infinity loop)
Imagery: 10.0
Overall: see melody (it is so far the best I've heard of this genre)

You know, I've gotten some complimentary reviews before, but this has to be one of the nicest one's I've ever gotten. Not much I can say to that other than thanks. I like your grading template there; I think I may use that. Might change it a bit, something like:
Melody:
Harmony:
Rhythm:
(extra spot, if something was really outstanding, like imagery in this case, or needed extra work)
Overall:
Not much different. Anyways, only thing left to say is that without the harmony, the melody is nothing. Just listen, the melody is just an arpeggio. But the harmony is what makes the melody interesting.

I love the cello.
It was a genereally beautiful piece. I love the soft, mellow tone to it.
What you might want to do is louden the piano a bit, it's a tad too soft to be heard nicely. Plus it makes the cello tiring after a while.
I love when the two cellos come together.
I play the bass, I hope to switch to the cello next year :)
Nice ending, by the way. Sweet little piece. I think your girlfriend will appreciate this. I can so see it--you composing, she playing :)

You would give it a 9. Ruining my perfect 10 streak! lol imma jk. To be honest, I think a lot of what you didn't like can be fixed in a different recording I have saved in WAV format, therefore incompatible with Newgrounds. I had to settle for the lesser mp3 version.
*Note to all that take the time to read review responses: A superior recording can be obtained by providing me with your email address and asking for it. It really is a very different sound.
Specifically, the piano is louder and has a much better ring to it, making it sound much less synthesized. The cello is more expressive sometimes, although the only complaint that can be made is that the cello is a little awkwardly inconsistent in the way it plays some notes... but overall I like it much better. Yes, cello, the beautiful, mellow string instrument. I respect all of its players. Ah, so you liked the ending this time! Yeah, me too. At least the piano part. The synthesized cello sounds a little funny... I sure hope she plays it. I can play most of the piano part, so that'd be pretty cool... I can dream at least.

Great job. The only complaint that I have with it is that it has a little too much repitition for my tastes, but still great. You should stick with music, you will get yourself a good job with that. Go to Juilliard, if at all possible. :P Anyway, great job, 5/5 9/10. Keep up the great work.

It is a tad repetitive, but it was only a first draft. The latest version is pretty hot. As for Julliard, we'll see. I'm starting my senior year in high school this fall, but I don't know where I will apply. I am planning to major in musical composition at the moment, but I have been known to change my mind. Thanks.
