Reviews for "Star Huntress"

Pretty cool, if it worked

This looked like it was a pretty cool game but it was a bit hard to control.

didnt work

all the reviews say the buttons arent working

i got it to start but the gun stopped working after 20 seconds and wen it was it wasnt doing any damage

as a result im giving this 0 and i would ask that everyone does the same

Ummm

I gave it all zeros because the start button didn't even work, its probably just my fucked up computer though.

Hmmm.....

That was pretty dull.

Not bad for two days work, but...

The fact this was made in two days aside, there are a few things that really made this underwhelming.

First, there's no music at all, and the sound is rather plain. Aside from the ship you control and bosses, this game would be devoid of sound.
Second, the enemy attack patterns become extremely predictable. None of the ships actually try to come after you, they just go in a pre-set pattern. You can avoid as many of them as you want, as often you want, with the same pattern everytime.
Third, the challenge is lacking, due in part to the reason above. None of the normal enemies fire at you, so you can pick the weapon you want, then kill or avoid those indifferent enemies at your leisure.
Last, and this is more of an oversight than anything, but it's possible to make all enemies freeze in place. On an IBM-compatible computer, just Right Click and uncheck Play by clicking on it (this usually results in stopping/pausing an entire movie). The enemies are then frozen in place and won't move at all. The only problem is you CAN move. Not only that, you can still fire your weapon and it'll hit the enemies. So, you can move about and fire at will, and every enemy has no other choice but to sit there and die. Even the bosses can be frozen, although they'll still fire their weaponry as usual. In other words, the game gets incredibly easy, because you're the only one who can move around (read: avoid incoming fire).

This is OK for two day's worth of work, but not great. The oversight is what really hurts this game.
