Stick with the first one...
The trails didn't add anything to the second part, and detracted if anything.
Stick to the first
The tracers in the second version actually detract from the flow of the motions you've created in the first. The first is just too crisp for a cheesy addition like that.
If any of them happen to be wearing baggy clothes, by all means have at it in a variant of the second. If you do that though, just try to smooth the edging to reflect the movement of their attire, rather than the current aspect.
