Reviews for "Skycastle Ending Anime"

You're typical villian talk is boring me....

Well, Pryce's typical hero talk is boring me too. I'll give a review for both your game and ending movie since I think it goes together as one peice.
GAME:
The game is boring. The objective is to find all clues. Now, how in the world can we actually enjoy FINDING the clues when there is only a set amount of places to go (5 in fact) and in each, there will be a person labelled "clue" on them?
Mind you, I thought you did a great job. The graphics was great. The sound and music, though typical, suits the game well but:
1. Can we have MORE places to go? If not, at least make each location MORE interesting than just a room/bar/gallery with like 6 people in there to talk to?
2. Have more monster varieties and make the battle more challenging. It's not particularly fun to have a stupid mini-TV screen that dies in one slash and does no more damage then 3 points when you start off with a hit point of 9999.
There was no levelling up or anything. Cool thing that it got to the ending fast but it doesn't feel rewarding since little or no work was placed in the playing.
Also, how is the random battles random when they only show off everytime you change location?
Overall of the game: graphics great, style was cool but not worth playing since it's not challenging at all.

Ending movie:
Voice acting - the villian sounds lame. Ok, maybe he IS suppose to be lame but have you heard the villians in Jap animes? Even if the character themselves are lame, they at least sound convincingly evil and crazy.
Even the hero doesn't sound convincing either. It sounds like the voice actor are just recording for the sake of recording and having a bit of laugh at their role while doing it. Sure, this whole thing may just be a fun project to the creator, but if you're gonna publicize it, at least ENTERTAIN us. Get into the character and make us feel involved.
The dialogue, well, they have their funny moments in them but what's the thing about satellites and spying cameras and stuff? I'll shrug it off if it's part of the concept to make the villian seem even more lame than he already is.
Graphics: It's good
Humour: Like I said, some funny moments but not very convincing.
Style: Well...a little Kenshin rip off here and there (if not, all). It was cool. I can't say it's original, but 'tis good.
Violence: what violence? *clang* *clang* *swish* *swish*. No *slash*, *rip* or anything. There wasn't any impact or cringing happening when I was watching it. Plain boring. However, I do congratulate you on not slacking off in the movements and background.
Overall: It was good. But not enough to make me wide-eyed and gape in awe.

wow

I haven't seen too many anime videos here in NG. This one looks nice.

*APPLAUSE*

Clap, clap, clap...... that was a GREAT movie! I wish i can make movies like you but, im still a rookie. :)

Ho-ly Sh*t.

That was...*blink, blink* Really, really good. How long did that take?! It's amazing! Way to go!

Grifter0730 responds:

2 weeks for the non-action and another 2 weeks for the action scenes. 1 Additional final week to wrap it up and make everything flow smoother.

Technically, great

Rotff, this is supposed to be dramatic (I think) but I find it kind of funny. The villain is a typical one, talks too much but has no skill hehe... I really like the way the sound its put together, it's a great sound background, indeed. The voice acting is not professional, but this is newgrounds! I've been arround for a while and I say your sound, after all, is still better than in 90% of the other stuff I watched until now. The animation and drawings are also really cool. The plot seems fun, however, the end is too fast. Well, considering that the entire flash is an ending, perhaps that is where the problem lies. This is for a game, though - which leads me to the (not so) bright conclusion that with that talent you really should make a series of flash movies with this style ^_^ Anyway - keep up the good work!
