Dancing with Insanity!

Man, I made an account here just to review on this. Definitely one of the best remixes of Dancing Mad I have ever heard.
Don't take it wrong, but it isn't as good as the original. Nothing ever really is with video game music. But this is, without a doubt, better than any other version of it that I have seen out there. It can't replace the first, but if they make a new version this should be the one they use.

I suppose I like it most, mainly because it captures Kefka's insanity more than anything, and his theme in the beginning is, for lack of better words, alluring. On the downside, I have to admit I didn't like the parts that were organ solos in the original - The 2nd half of the 2nd tier, and all of the third tier. The notes were dead on, it was performed perfectly, it's just that the drums, guitar, and all other instruments there just seemed too out of place for me. That being said, the last tier section just very well may be better than the original - going against everything I said earlier >.< But I don't care, because it was executed perfectly. :)
Again, on the other hand, the "Battle"-sounding half of the first tier needs to be spread out a bit more -- Good for Kefka's insanity, but it just didn't match the epic-ness of the original. Chorus maybe? Should also lengthen the 2nd tier music. Very good, especially because of the xylophone in the 2nd half of it. I'd love to hear more of it. Also, right before the 4th tier begins, you should add in that big "Dunnn... Dunnnnn... Dunnnnnn. DAH DUHHHH!" part. Just felt a bit hollow there without. Kefka's laugh made up for it though. :D

All in all, it is a 10/10 because there is absolutely nothing wrong with it and is nearly perfect. Things could be changed, but nothing is wrong. Kinda like how vanilla ice cream is perfect alone, but chocolate syrup just adds to it. Get what I mean? :)

I don't want my review to take up the whole page so I'm going to quit it here. Anyways, great job! :D <cheers>

See? See that, Box-Killa? THIS is constructive criticism!

Meanwhile, Mr. Penguin, thanks very much! This is probably about the best review I've ever received - and I'd still be saying that if you gave it a 9 or an 8 or whatever have you - so thank you. So few of the reviewers on Newgrounds really know how to give reviews that actually *help* me with my later submissions.

I'll keep all this in mind. Thanks again!

Welcome to it! I hope you get a chance to listen to more of my stuff. :)

Just don't turn into one of those bastard zero-bombers. Man, I hate those.
