Nifty black white and grayness
The guy was sooo freakin' well drawn. The outlines, the details such as stubble and armpit hair and head hair and facial expression.... and the shadings of gray. All wonderful.
Even though there's not much animation at first, mostly just "camera" panning, there's a great feeling of tension and suspense building during the soft buildup with the guitar and all...
Fairly disturbing ending, too. Neat stuff, man. I'd like to see this guy in more flashes, do you have any plans to use him again, or was he just a one time character only?
Now that's an emotional statement.
I'm not sure what I can say about this movie as far as critiques go... but I have to say that this was well done. You managed to portray the feeling of depression and suicide very well through the animation and choice of music.

Different but Good
There was little to no story. And the animation was nothing super. And there wasn't any over the top violence or humor. But it succeeded in what it needed to do: create a mood and evoke an emotion in the viewer. So what's to complain about?Great use of black and white and the music was nice too. There were a couple nice transitions too. And I didn't feel like the cartoon took itself too seriously, although some might think it did. This cartoon is different than most stuff on newgrounds, and while its nothing amazing technically and lacks the usual doses of violence and dirty humor, I still loved it. Good stuff.
