Reviews for "Child's Play"

I thought this was going to be the parody....

of the movies but I was wrong. I liked this movie because it was about videogames. I'm a big fan of them.

read

the siskel and ebert of the old school video games! and did i like it? fuckin right doggy!! altho i didnt have as much to say as the last queer bag before me, my review still kicks ass. all hail the walrus!!

Good, but a tad boring.

They were right about most things:

Pong: Exactly how were you suppose to score? The ball goes across the screen slower then a snail.
Space Invaders: Funnier then it looks, just play the original and find out.
Donkey Kong: Games have for sure gotten easier, go back and play this one for proof. That kid who said he couldn't get past the first level adds more to the fact that challenge is a factor that has left today's games. They were right about Mario dying a stupid way however, I mean, he falls the distance the size of his head and dies? What were the programmers thinking?

It's interesting to hear what the newer generation of gamers think about the older games, but it proves that they're all falling to this generation of "The Graphics War" between Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft. They never focus on challenging or good games anymore, just making them look good.

Anyway, this was pretty good, kind of boring, but good anyway. Those kids voices matched them perfectly, in the "annoying little shits" way. Graphics were well done, especially those taken from the games themselves. I'd really like EGM to do another version of this, but I know they won't.

Boring

Give a couple of nerds these old video games and ask them a few questions, you'll get something like this.
It was okay for about ten seconds, but it really drags on after you've seen the kid wiggle an old-fashioned joystick for three minutes. I have more fun watching myself whack off.

Great Idea!

I remember reading that article. I never would have thought about doing this.
