Like you said, you did your own take on Atomic Robo! People in the know will recognize him instantly, which is pretty much what you are going for. I know I recognized him before I saw the description.
Overall I think it is AMAZING! Yet the trail coming from the eyes for some reason doesn't seem to mesh with the rest of the pose, I understand the glow from his eyes left a trail, yet he is hunched over. I don't know if making them darker or curved would help. But frankly that is just nit picking. I think it is an amazing piece of work, and I know I couldn't do anything to really compare to it.
