Reviews for "Arrogancy Game Demo"

Ever the cynical one, aren't you?

I think the humor of your dialogue targets the audience a little too well. I'd say you're a bastard, but whatever the case, I like it that way :)

As always, your graphics are superb. I know you don't need me telling you that, but nonetheless, as always, your artwork is top-notch. I could ramble on and on about it, but I'm not going to, because I'm sure you know that you can draw.

I liked the music as well! It fit in really nicely! It had a good RPG type feel to it, so great job there. Between that and the graphics you used, it really conveyed a nice atmosphere. I liked it a lot. Did you not include any voice because of the demo, or because you couldn't find anything suitable? I remember a lot of people, including me, suggesting different voices for the series itself, but nonetheless, I was kind of curious.

The dialogue, as I mentioned, was quite funny. Even the dating dialgoue was cause for amusement.

Speaking of dating, I can't help but thank you for making a system that is harder than just "buy the expensive stuff to wear the girl down" that we're used to. Those are too easy...it didn't take a TON of guesswork, but at least we had to work a little bit to get the hang of the flirting system and get it to work for us.

Keep it going: you're onto something. I know donations go a long way to make the world go around, but I think you tend to scare or piss off too many NG users, giving them less incentive to donate, which is kind of a disappointment because your hard work really shows in what you submit. I'd donate something to your cause if I had the means to do so. I understand you not wanting to deal with idiots - your thoughts are well-documented - but you gotta remember, you're on Newgrounds, man: this site mostly caters to them.

arrogancy responds:

I didn't include voices because this is a HUGE game with hours and hours of play. I've got pages of dialogue - waaaay too much file space would be taken up!

Niceley done.

God that was awsome. I sure hope you finish the rest soon.
I really liked the dialoge. The pokes at the lazyness of the author were great. I also liked the guessing concept.

I didn't like the "Buying stuff and then you get the girl thing though." That's done to death.

All in all, great game!

arrogancy responds:

The "buying stuff and dropping it on the girls" was just to establish the item system for the game. The items will affect out of fight sequence stuff more than anything, don't worry.

Whee, a real adventure game!

Ahhh, it's great! So many video game cameos. Earthbound was my favorite SNES game ever! Oh oh and River City Ransom guy =-). Er, anyways, a very fun game actually. Good adventure gameplay, though hopefully the final product will have a little more depth. I look forward to it.

arrogancy responds:

Yay, someone else on Newgrounds actually recognizes the cameos! You're a rare breed!

Rest assured, the full game has a LOT more depth, and a LOT more cameos. I'm putting ABOBO in right now :)

This game kicks ass

I have to agree about the ending being a let down, but there is so much potential here. Keep at it!

Sweet

I always loved games that are like animes. This game rox all. It is awsome I thankith thee.
