Reviews for "Progressive Morphology"

GuitaR!

Yo, great song man! love the use of electric guitar, and with the bass and drums really give it a kick, although the flute or electric noise sounds are kind of.. a turn off =(. Awesome song overall!

Ps: im really curious, wut software u use to make ur songs? its pretty awesome wut variety of instruments u kindof used. =P

CyriltheWolf responds:

I definately used a program called "Sonar" with Amplitube 2 Live for the guitar sound.

I dunno, the flute and stuff is one of those "Like it or don't" Sort of things. *shrug* Sorry.

Enjoyable

A nice flow to it, but I think that the soft wind instrument seemed ill-placed and incompatible with the heavy tones of the song. If you occasionally went to segments solely with soft wind instruments, I think it might lend something to the song, instead of having it accompany the heavier guitar sounds.

Very nice all around. 8/10

CyriltheWolf responds:

I dunno, I like having obvious disparity. It seems ill-placed, but then again if you can have an orchestra playing heavily while a piccolo takes a solo... meh, I think it's not as bad.

Either you like the soft wind, or you hate it. Seems people are torn.

nice job

This is a good song, mind you, some things were a little jumbled, and I think it might have worked a little better if the guitar was a slight bit heavier. also, I think that you should stick to one rythem, otherwise, make it longer, nice work though
:)

CyriltheWolf responds:

Uh. Thanks. Haha. Maybe, I dunno. I suppose that's a preference thing.

I like it.

Work on your intro, other than that it's great. It's got the epic feel of old-school Final Fantasy and Zelda and the like, with a mad solo in the mix. Holy crap I heard the bass guitar! That's a first on NGAP. Good job man.

CyriltheWolf responds:

Bassists are crazy about that.

Was great until..

I heard that cheesy electronic noise your used. Right around 1:20 or so. Make that musical element some other kind of instrument or tweak the effects to set this song over the top. Otherwise it was great.
