Review I guess

I gotta say, nice use of the Action snare (I believe). I've never really been able to nail a snare with a long decay like that, and it fits nicely here. Snare could use a bit more fuzz IMO, but that's just me and my purist electronic tastes, while you as a drummer would probably feel differently.

Reese is pretty cool. Sounds a bit like Spor if I think about it. Nice weird synths... Reese is a bit filter-heavy. I'd resample, slice, and put in shit, but I bet you've already done that.

Nice track, though, I just wish that the drums would punch through the reese a bit more. Some light sidechaining should do the trick, or just duck it a bit, because I'm losing that fuzz that I love on the snare.

Overall, this track feels a bit different, as it doesn't have a LOT of energy, like I'd expect DnB tracks to have. Oh well, it was a nice listen! Some good elements here! 9/10

"Action snare"?

This was fun.

It was really cool how you used the distortion of the sounds to allow the kick of the drums to phase right into the listener in the intro. They still allowed ofr a melody to come through. I'd say you got some drumming background going on there, cause it's stuff you dont hear too often from most of the mixers. Even the bass seems to be paled in comparison to how much work is going into the drums.

The melody...I couldn't even notice much of it to begin with. But when I heard the sounds repeat, I figured it out, and it became that much of a better listen. Definatly a much better song on the second playthrough.

The bass, seems to never stop, it sounds as though you just hit it once and then almost wah it to a different tone for the whole song. I really like how it was done.

overall quite a good song. You got my Fav.

It took me a good 30 minutes to listen to this whole thing thanks to my crappy dial up atm. BUt It was well spent.

PERVOK responds:

Good call, friend. I've been playing drums for 11 years now :) I'm really glad how you appreciate all the small things in this song; since I wrote this song just from straight inspiration and no real goal at all, it turned out a little bit messy. But I'm happy that you saw past the mess, haha :)

Thanks for the detailed review, and the fav! I really appreciate it. Not often that I get a really good review from a really good listener :D

Keep it easy.
