Damn dude, this song is crazy creepy.
The title really suits the song. I got a visual of a temple of sorts with spirits floating around. I also got the feeling of a Greek bath house for some reason, it may be due to the fact that you had that harp in there.
Overall amazing work as always.

Karco responds:

I wasn't going for the creepy feeling, I was going for the calming feeling. But hey, if it means you liked it, it works for me. ;D

Interesting image, but that wasn't a harp, it was a guitar! XD

Thanks for the review, glad you liked it! ;)

BOOM lightning strikes again! or it was inspiratin

great song.
maybe a bit too soft for me because.. well... its ambient. ( my comment owns )
i was really hoping there would be some kick ass beat involved. but there isnt any.
WHY!!! there only some lame percussions that i dont even know.
even in doing so, i think it did the trick. the calmy 'adventure' into... something.
something far beyond understanding. beyond time and space ( so make a trippy goa track next! ) There could be some adding of intruments and all that to make it more exciting. it may not feel like its missing something but still it can do better.
karco i expected better from you xP
oke summing it up real fast
-pads + piano = win. +guitar = 1337
-drums???
-longer with maybe more instruments?
-more orchestral things maybe? violions for pad like things?
-keep it up. let inspiration strike tho who got to much time on their hands

-firebolt-

Karco responds:

It was definitely inspiration. ;D

A beat would have done this song no good, my best ambience has little or no drums. Mostly because I still have no good drums to use. XD And if you don't know the drums that I used, then it's a good thing, right? I've got an original sound and everything, rather than something you've heard before.

The adventure feel was definitely an aim of mine, and as for the "something," what do YOU think you're adventuring into?

Trippy goa track. XD I've got tons of stuff on my hands, though I COULD turn one into goa... we'll see. ;)

You expected BETTER? :O This is my best ambient by far! It'll be hard to satisfy you with ambience, then, but I'll do it. >:)

Piano and guitar definitely ARE awesome! ;D I don't think I want to extend this song, last time I tried doing that to an ambient song (see After the Nova, submitted in February/March of last year), it ended up making it a lot more boring. And anyway, like I said in the description, I like my ambient songs short with a cliffhanger ending, it makes them addicting that way. ;D I might consider orchestral elements for my next ambient song, whenever that happens.

Thanks for the review, glad you liked it! :D

hardee har har

I see your doing what I'm doing. Putting in a side track for people to have sex withs b4 you send in a good one. Probably not, but oh wells, it's still good to get a lot of shit from you these days =P

So, lemme et this straight. Pulstate put in a new (demo) song, you put in 2, Zenon has 2, Kr1z put in one and I put in a very bad song. This week MUST have a good Top 5 =P

Anyways, I love the subtle piano, if it was any stronger, it would of taken the ambient feel away from the song, so thats good. LULZ, you need to make more of these ^.^

Karco responds:

You're right, that's not the case. :P And you're also right, that it's good that I'm submitting a lot these days. I've got this week and next week off from school, leaving me all the time in the world to make pretty much whatever I want. XD

Of course it will, you watch! ;D Though your song wasn't very bad, in the least bit. It was awesome, don't go badmouthing yourself like that. >:(

EDIT: Told you. :D

I WOULD make more of these, but the inspiration rarely strikes me to do it. :\ It's kinda disappointing, as I'm finding this to be my second genre, after trance. I just need to get the right stuff so I can make better ambience, and more often.

Thanks for the review, glad you liked it. :D

aye

I lolt a bit at the previous review- is A++ even a word...?!? >:(

Well anyway. Some nice piano ditty with wind in the beginning- quite a nice beginning I must say. Wind sounds great, I personally prefer windyness without much low frequencies... like, when it sounds more like blue noise (look it up in case you need to). Incredibly nice build- grainy pad starts to hurt brainz at times, ever tried de-essing it after the reverb? It might make it more pleasant listening. Various subtle pads are in the background, not too audible but enough by far to make the atmosphere of a huge landscape.

and yeah.

I like the guitar.

...

:D

So yeah, it doesn't evolve much and essentially isn't much groundbreaking or outstanding, but it's... like, sweet. Great use of the different instruments in here, I'd like to hear much more of the guitar though. I'm sure you could make hell of an awesome thang with it- experiment on different octaves etc, make me happy :)

Relatively short review for relatively short song... but everything would be covered in a nice, good "SHWEETH!!!"!

MAEK MOAR AMBIENTS PLEASE. GREAT WORK MY GOOD SIRE.

;)

Karco responds:

Who said A++ was a word? It's supposed to be a grade! ;D That being said, though, it's not really a grade. XD

Nope, don't know what blue noise is, though I'm busy right now and I'll have to look it up later. I don't have any de-essers, care to PM me a few links? D:

I liked the guitar too. I originally had this annoying high-pitched sine resembling some sort of morse code thing, but it didn't fit at all, so I deleted it. Then I wondered, what could take its place in the progression? I threw some guitar in, and it worked great. :D

Different octaves, you say? I'll give it a shot. :)

And as soon as the inspiration strikes me, like it did with this song, I'll make even more. >:)

Thanks for the review, glad you liked it! :D
