I thought It was fun.
Though the past mario movies like this, I thought it was very original to have it placed in a future setting. Would all the Koopa kids be fighting? I hope so. I would like to see why they are fighting. And when u see the to be continued it just hangs u there waiting to see what happend. Very nice job.
It was okay.
Had this come a month prior, this would have been cool. But now it's merely "okay" with Rise of the Mushroom Kingdom and Mario Brothers - Part I and II out. The "Mario sprites in medieval battle" theme is becoming quickly lame.
Judging this movie on its own merits though, and not on the popularity of this new not-so-hip genre, it scores pretty high. Though originality is almost nowhere to be found in this movie, the Koopa vs. Koopa storyline is intriguing, to the say the least. Also, while the movie mimics its superiors, it does a superb job of mirroring them. If the goal here was to pay tribute to those awesome Flash movies, or even to imitate them as closely as possible, then you've done a fine job.
