Reviews for "House Of The Dead (Demo)"

VGJ

Nice demo.

The good: spelling, sound, interactivity, SUSPENCE. good game.

the bad: its not finished yet

the ugly: nuthing.

good job.

I dont make flash movies, i make em better.

thepromaster responds:

Cool. All those good thing!! We are gonna finish it though and it's gonna be a hell of a lot better then this one

Interesting.

This isn't too bad of a game, but of course my computer decided to absorb the bugs. It won't let me click to go down the first staircase, and if I click the other direction, I end up getting mauled with a gun coming out of the wall.

I wasn't very far into the game because of that, so from what I saw, it wasn't all that suspenseful. But, it might get really good later on, so I didn't really dock you that much. Think of it as a sign to get moving on the full version.

Anyways, these movie needs suggestions, that's why I write reviews. So, first of all, if you're looking for suspense, white is not the appropriate color. An old rusty house isn't going to have white walls. I'd really like to see you get creative with these types of things. Think old style design, brown walls, with light brown lines running parallel down the wall. Seriously, that would act to the fear factor in tremendous ways.

Another thing would be that the character models are laughable. I'm sorry, but once again: artwork can be the reigning factor in making this game scary. It may not seem like a top priority for many flash makers, but what they don't realize is that it really is. I really want to see this game go places.

Also, more interactivity in each room. If you want any of my ideas, feel welcome to Instant Message me on AIM. Then maybe you could transfer me the full version of the game.

By the way, my AIM is Solid Lithium, and I've got ideas for you.

thepromaster responds:

Thank you sooooooooo much, man. I know you've been talking to -millix- for about 2 hours on AIM and I really like all your ideas. Thank you, thank you, thank you

creepy but fun

it was very well done and my heart was pumping playing it as i didnt know wat to expect i hope you will finish it as it is amazing

Good game

The game itself was pertty good but the graphics could of been abit better. Not only that but it was a little slow. I liked the idea of originality of the horror and the sound effects. The game could of been abit better but reguardless it came out well.

Id say abit of graphic and gameplay needs to be done but since your going to cancel the prodject good try though. I really enjoyed the game and hope mabe you guys someday possible make another one.

Not bad for an incomplete one.

GRAPHICS: 3 -Kinda cheap, but you got decent depth perception -ie it looks like you're actually staring down a hallway (though a rather badly drawn one).

SOUND: 7 -Background music fit perfectly, voice was kinda monotone for a guy who's locked in a house with dead bodies (that's why it's usually best to leave the door open when you trespass into someone elses house).

INTERACTIVTY: 5

STYLE: 6 -would've been a ten because I like choose-your-own adventures, but minus four because it's incomplete.

HUMOUR: 0

VIOLENCE: 4 -Shouldn't that guy have slid ALL the way down the spike?

OVERALL: 6 -When you complete it you should make it so you don't have to start at the begining every time you die. -ie restart at the last decision point.

thepromaster responds:

OK thanks for your improvements this time. We'll consider them. Thanks for the review
